Learning motor skill by VR flight simulator

Title:
Learning motor skill by VR flight simulator
Goals & purposes:
1. To introduce a rarely new motor skill – controlling a plane through VR flight simulator
2. To learn the motor skill (flying the plane) with different types of instructions (knowledge of performance vs knowledge of result)
3. To let the students understand the types of instructions through practical application
Summary:
The VR technology will be used during the VR sessions, where students are instructed with two types of instructions (the motor learning concept) on flying a plane through practical VR trials. In this way, students are expected to truly ‘feel’ how instructions could manipulate their learning process while the audience (rest of the class) can observe a student’s learning progress in a real-time.
