Goals & purposes:
Upon completion of this module, participants should be able to:
1. Describe the organization of the nervous system
2. Recognize major brain regions responsible for the control of sleep
3. Name and locate brain regions that are responsible for our five sense
4. Explain the concept of brain plasticity
5. Analyze the use of electronic devices on brain development in children
Summary:
This e-learning package contains three interactive scenarios-early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence- that illustrate and explain typical child/adolescent behaviors encountered by educators from a neuroscientific perspective. Students will learn how the brain supports various everyday behaviors through bite-sized videos and interactive learning activities to check their understanding of concepts.
