READ Laboratory (Dyslexia)
Goals & purposes:
Upon completion of this module, participants should be able to:
1. Understand the theories behind dyslexia
2. Acquire effective training strategies to help improve the literacy of children with dyslexia
3. Apply the training strategies in improving children's reading and writing abilities
Summary:
This e-learning package adopts game-based learning to introduce dyslexia, a disorder related to reading and writing problems, followed by some directions for helping children with poor literacy abilities. Students watch videos on the concepts and relevant knowledge by collecting skill cards, and apply what they have learned in the mini-games.
