Goals & purposes:
Upon completion of this unit, students will be able to
(1) learn about the meaning and function of inferential statistics;
(2) understand hypothesis testing and the level of significance associated with inferential statistics; and
(3) apply hypothesis testing to carry out your own studies and interpret your results.
(4) understand the purposes of performing inferential statistics
(5) know different inferential statistical techniques and the type of research questions they address
(6) choose the right statistical technique to analyse your data
Summary:
This online unit is about inferential statistics, including a brief overview of inferential statistics, its function and procedure in empirical research. Some common inferential statistics tests will also be introduced in this unit.
