(1) Define the term ‘teacher as researcher’
(2) Understand the history of this type of research
(3) Understand the role that teachers have in conducting research and how ‘teacher as researcher’ can be applied to your Honours Project or Capstone project in a school setting
Summary:
This online unit is about "Teachers as researchers" including an explanation of what ‘teacher as researcher’ means and a discussion of the history of this type of research. It also includes the details about what the methodology looks like in practice. It then discovers who the participants are in this type of research and what kind of research designs and methodologies can be employed by teachers. After that, it briefly touches on potential ethical issues. At last, it demonstrates how teachers use research data.
