Collaborative Team Approach in Inclusive Education
Goals & purposes:
Upon completion of this module, students will be able to:
(1) draw upon the evidence on inclusive pedagogies to formulate intervention approaches and strategies in the individualized education plan for students with SEN;
(2) apply the collaborative team approach to formulate implementation strategies in the individualized education plan for students with SEN;
(3) examine the modes of speech-language service delivery in the whole-school approach to integration; and
(4) analyze the impact of local and international education policies on inclusive practices for students with special education needs

Summary:
This e-learning package comprises 3 components.
The first component consists of 2 scenario videos, an online resource kit and an animated video and they will be used to engage the course participants in a group activity on case analysis. The background information of a hypothetical SEN case is illustrated in the scenario videos and the online resource kit to provide the course participants vivid audio and visual images. At the end of the group activity, the animated video will be used to provide the course participants feedback on their group work by visualizing the strengths and weaknesses of the SEN case in precise and concise summary tables.
The second component consists of an online quiz to engage the course participants in an individual activity on case management.
The third component It consists of 2 online discussion forums to facilitate peer interactions and to the course participants in critical thinking from multiple and global perspectives in a group learning activity.
