A survey of effective pedagogical designs and practices in authentic context
Goals & purposes:
This project attempts to 1) immerse students in authentic contexts, through which they can 2) develop emerging perspective on pedagogical design with reference to theories and concepts taught in the Programme.

Upon completion of this module, students will be able to:
• Expose to diverse effective pedagogical designs and practices
• Evaluate effective pedagogical designs and practices from different theoretical perspectives
• Appreciate pedagogical effectiveness can be attained via diverse designs and styles
Summary:
This module provides much of the authenticity of local classroom practices to the Master-level students under the COVID19 pandemic, in which face-to-face classes are suspended in Hong Kong primary and secondary schools. By choosing to watch the teaching demos, students are encouraged to share their opinions of good teaching practices and then articulate the rationales behind the lesson design under the tutor’s scaffolding to do rise-above discussions.
