Goals & purposes:
For both EdUHK and non-EdUHK students, this app will serve as :
• a survival guide for undergraduate students, in particular freshmen who are the target audience of this app;
• a refresher course for senior year or advanced degree students;
• a quick help guide for non-university students.

The app aims to:
• help students develop skills and expertise in handling a range of resources in the given information tasks;
• understand the information searching process and develop practical skills in referencing;
• develop their information literacy skills for their academic and lifelong learning.
Summary:
A number of elective modules in real-life scenarios are provided to meet students’ diverging learning needs, e.g.:
• Why library? Why not just Google or Baidu?
• Information search process – what is it, why is it important?
- What are available in your library?
- What are you looking for?
- Turning your questions into “key terms”
- Finding the right research terms and related terms
- Kicking off your research and tips for searching
- You have found something, are they good?
• Doing things right – “Academic Integrity” and “Citation Style”

The app includes readings, video and interactive quizzes, etc. Students can also cherry-pick the topics that are of interest to them.
