This e-Learning Package "Creating Algorithm Music Compositions with Visual Programming Max MSP" aims to provide basic understanding of the visual programming Max MSP for musicians who are interested in creating algorithm music compositions. The objectives include (1) Manipulate sounds musically and effectively for self-expressive and communicative purposes through the application of the coding software; (2) Understand how physical sounds are turned to music through aesthetic, technical and musical aspects; and (3) Create algorithm music composition with both objective and subjective considerations.
Summary:
This e-Learning Package provided basic knowledge in creating algorithm music compositions with Visual Programming Max MSP, including manipulating musical materials, working with MIDI, adding timing, applying MIDI instrument, and generating sine waves and harmonics.
