New EdUHK Research Repository on Pure
The EdUHK Research Repository has been migrated from the previous open-source DSpace platform with limited functionality to Elsevier’s cloud-based Pure platform with more advanced and sophisticated features. The new Repository can be accessed on the Library Website or directly at http://repository.eduhk.hk. New features and benefits of the new Repository include:
Researcher Profile – Collaborative connections between you and your research partners will be visualized and presented as Force or Circle chart and global map in your Researcher Profile. Your h-index and the total Scopus citation count of your research outputs in the Repository will also be shown if available.
Research Outputs – Pure will demonstrate the academic and social impact of your research outputs with Scopus citation counts and PlumX social media counts (forthcoming). Your works can also be searched and filtered by different criteria.
Fingerprint – Pure will analyze the contents of your publication records and assign “Fingerprint” (different concepts) with weighting automatically to your research outputs and Researcher Profile.
ORCID – The UGC may require researchers to provide ORCID iDs for RAE 2020. With a simple set up, you can authorize Pure to automatically update research outputs in your ORCID profile. The Library will also conduct an ORCID Registration Campaign in March 2018. More details will be announced separately.
RICH – Pure will export a list of verified research output records on a regular basis for you to review, modify and use in RICH as well as subsequent CDCF and RAE submissions.
The new EdUHK Research Repository will include research outputs in all CDCF categories. Works published by academic colleagues before joining the University will also be added gradually. Colleagues may request the Library to remove their pre-EdUHK/HKIEd research outputs from the Repository if they wish.
