Children’s Literature Collection (CLC) is a unique collection of reading materials targeted for children at pre-primary to junior secondary level which support teaching, learning and research by staff and students of the University.
CLC has two sub-collections:
- Hong Kong Children’s Literature Collection (HKCLC)
HKCLC houses children’s literature created by Hong Kong authors and illustrators. - Taiwanese Children’s Literature Special Collection (TCSC)
TCSC was donated by the Taiwan United Daily News Group. All books in this Collection were entries to a major Chinese children’s book competition held regularly in Taiwan since 1991. The donation project was completed in 2013 and over 14,700 books have been donated to the Library. From 2014 onward, the Library will continue to select and purchase works awarded in the above children’s book competition as well as other Taiwanese children’s books for inclusion in the Children’s Literature Collection.
