Physical Locations of Hardware

The Library has set up a virtual VR-AR-Media Production Centre (VAM Production Centre) which spreads across different locations in EdUHK Library:

Creative Lab (G/F, MMW Library, open 24 hours)

• 1 high-end notebook with VAM production tool for instructor*
• 6 high-end notebooks with VAM production tools*
• Additional 30 high-end notebooks with VAM production tools*
• 20 iPads for VAM development*
• 3 sets of HTC Vive Pro headsets available for viewing and testing VR outputs*
• Academic and teaching staff may reserve the room in advance via iBooking
• Open access for all library users when there is no booking
• Additional information about Creative Lab

• 2 Mac Studio with Blu-ray writer at  workstations C01-C02

• EdUHK students may reserve the workstations  in advance via Library Booking System

Notebooks for Loan (Circulation Counter, G/F, MMW Library)

• 10 i7 notebooks with VAM production tools
• 30 high-end notebooks with VAM production tools (not available for loan if reserved for teaching at Creative Lab)

Discussion Tables (Discussion Zone, 1/F, MMW Library)

• 24 i7 notebooks with VAM production tools (1 on each Discussion Table)

Media Production Area (3/F, MMW Library)

• 6 high-end PCs and 6 Mac Studio with 4K displays and VAM production tools
• EdUHK students and staff may reserve the workstations (M02-M13) in advance via Library Booking System

Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Library (TKOSC Library)

MAKAR	VR/AR production platform on which users can create their own VR/AR objects for playing back on mobile devices. Creation and editing is done on PCs or Mac’s.
