To Make Your Booking
Facilities For Single User:
- Eligible users should login to the Library Booking system with their EdUHK network name and password.
- Select the desired facilities.
- Select the desired date and timeslot.
- Click “Submit” when being asked to confirm the booking. A confirmation email will be sent to your EdUHK email account.
- When finished, please click the “Log Off” button to exit the system.
Facilities for Two or More Users:
- One eligible user on behalf of a group of 2 to 8 eligible users should login Library Booking system with their EdUHK network name and password.
- Select the desired facilities.
- Select the desired date and timeslot.
- Add additional group members’ user names.
- Click “Submit” when being asked to confirm the booking. A confirmation email will be sent to you and your group members’ EdUHK email account.
- When finished, please click the “Log Off” button to exit the system.
To Review Your Active Bookings
Login to the Library Booking System and then select “My Bookings” at the top to view all your active bookings. When finished, please click the “Log Off” button to exit the system.
To Cancel Your Advance Booking
Login to the Library Booking System and then select “My Bookings”, and then click “Cancel Booking” to cancel any active bookings. When finished, please click the “Log Off” button to exit the system. If the cancellation is successful, a confirmation email will be sent to you and the study carrel will be released for others.
Check In Procedure
At the dedicated check-in stations or any other computers connected via a LAN connection inside the Library, and EdU Library mobile apps; login to the Library Booking System and use the “Check In” function at the top to check in. When finished, please click the “Log Off” button to exit the system. If check in is successful, a confirmation email will be sent to your EdUHK email account.
Please note:
- You and your registered group members (if applicable) must check in within 15 minutes (10 minutes for Me Space) after the start of each booking session. Failing to do so will result in automatic cancellation of your booking.
- You and your registered group members (if applicable) must check in to each booking session separately for continuous sessions. Failing to check in within 15 minutes (10 minutes for Me Space) after the start of each session will result in automatic cancellation of the corresponding session.
Check Out Procedure
When finished using the facilities, users are encouraged to check out and release the facilities for other users.
To check out, simply login to the Library Booking System, select “My Bookings” and then click “Check Out”. Please remember to click the “Log Off” button before leaving.
Priority Booking and Regular Booking at Research Commons, 4/F, MMW Library
Zone A
- EdUHK Research Postgraduate Students and Post-doctoral Fellows can start booking 28 days in advance
- EdUHK Taught Postgraduate Students can start booking 14 days in advance
- All other EdUHK Students and Academic Staff can start booking 7 days in advance
Zone B
- Available to all eligible EdUHK users 7 days in advance.
- S401 and S402 (Priority for the SEN users) are included in Zone B. These study carrels are designated for users with special educational needs. Booking of S401 and S402 can be cancelled at any time by the Library if they are needed by eligible users with SENs..
Please Note:
- The Library reserves the rights to decline any booking, and/or to allocate another study carrel to any user.
