STEM Room

The Library is pleased to announce that EdUHK students and staff may start booking STEM Room and its facilities for teaching, workshops, STEM/DIY activities, etc. from 25 January 2021 onward.

Located on 2/F of Mong Man Wai Library, STEM Room is the first of the seven “Future Classrooms” to be built in MMW Library. The other six will be completed in this summer. STEM Room is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for STEM education. It also includes a Makerspace for EdUHK students to socialize and collaborate in DIY and creative activities. Equipment and facilities provided include: 4K projector, two 4K 86” interactive LCD panels, ceiling-mount microphone-arrays and pan–tilt–zoom cameras for online and remote teaching, seven 6-seat workbenches, seven 3D printers and one laser cutter/engraver, 43 high-end notebooks, writeable projection walls, etc.

All workbenches and selected high-end notebooks in STEM Room will be open for use by all library users when there is no class or no booking.
