Replacement of Lift No. 8

Lift No. 8, located at central area of Mong Man Wai Library, is scheduled for replacement in summer this year after 25 years of continuous operation.  It will be closed from Friday, 8 July 2022 onward, tentatively until November 2022. 

During this period, hoarding will be set up at Lift No. 8 lobbies on all floors of MMW Library.  The entrance/exit between MMW Library and Learning Commons on LP/F will also be closed during the construction period.  Library users may use Lift No. 9 to access G/F to 4/F of MMW Library.  They may also use the central staircase to access all floors of MMW Library, including EI Hub on LP/F.  Replacement of Lift No. 9 will be arranged after replacement of Lift No. 8 is completed.

Noise will be generated intermittently during the construction period.  We apologize for any inconvenience thus caused.
