Self Pick-up Stations

“Self Pick-up Stations” have been installed on G/F of Mong Man Wai Library, Tseung Kwan O Study Centre(TKOSC) Library and 4/F of the North Point Study Centre(NPSC). In addition to the normal e-mail pick-up notice, library users who have requested books or media materials from EdUHK Library or books from HKALL may receive a 2nd e-mail notice with the subject heading “EdUHK Library: Pick-up Notice (Self Pick-up Station)”.

Since the pick-up process is fully automatic, library users can collect their requested items by themselves at the Self Pick-up Station mentioned in the notice within the specified period. Therefore users can pick up items 24 hours at MMW Library and any time when TKOSC or NPSCis open.

The self pick-up procedure is simple, just tap your “EdU Card” on the smart card reader, follow the instructions and pick up the item from the locker with door opened by the system. Please remember to close the locker door after collection.

The following items cannot be picked up at Self Pick-up Stations:

  • Items too big to be placed into any compartment
  • Inter-library loan books from other libraries
  • Serials
  • Accompanying materials kept at library counters

For above materials which cannot be placed inside the lockers of the Self Pick-up Stations, they can only be picked up and borrowed at the corresponding library counters. The requestor therefore will receive the 1st  e-mail notice with the subject heading“ EdUHK Library: Pick-up Notice”

Please refer the user guide of using the Self Pick-up Stations.

Should you have difficulties in using the Self Pick-up Stations on site, please approach any library counters for help.
