Implementation of New RFID Collections Management System at EdUHK Library

The Library is pleased to announce that, with support from the Shun Hing Education and Charity Fund, RFID will be implemented at the EdUHK Library beginning on 20th December 2017.

With the new RFID system, the Library will not only be able to better manage and monitor its physical collections, it will also provide more user-friendly self-services. From 20th December, users can begin borrowing library books using the new self-service stations at both Mong Man Wai Library on Tai Po Campus and Tseung Kwan O Study Centre Learning Commons. The borrowing process is very simple and library staff will stand by to assist users.

Construction works will be carried out between 20th and 31st December 2017 to switch the library exit gates and some library exits may be temporarily closed. Since some items checked out earlier through the former system may trigger the alarm of the new exit gates, users are encouraged to bring such items to the Circulation Counter for desensitization before leaving the Library. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
