EI Hub

The Library is pleased to announce the opening of “EI Hub” (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub), a co-working space in support of entrepreneurship and innovation education at EdUHK, on Monday, 17 June 2019. EI Hub is operated by Entrepreneurship and Innovation Education Unit (EIEU) of the Library and provides 24-hour office spaces for students who are carrying out projects or starting their own businesses. It provides:

  • Shared Office Area: with 4 Group Working Spaces (E01-E04), each for 5 persons and with 55” 4K display and flexible furniture. The Shared Office Area is also equipped with writing walls, projector, video camera and PA system, and thus can be reconfigured for talks, larger group meetings, business competitions, tele-conferences, remote teaching, etc.
  • Meeting Room (E05): for 9 persons with 65” 4K display, flexible furniture, writing walls and video conferencing equipment.
  • EIH Collection: with over 400 books and magazines on entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • 3-in-1 Octopus-operated machine for photocopying, scanning and Wi-Fi printing.

EI Hub is located on LP/F of Mong Man Wai Library. EdUHK students can make advance booking beginning at 9:30 am on 17 June 2019 with the Library Booking System (https://app.lib.eduhk.hk/booking/day.php?area=10). The Library will impose black-out periods from time to time during which only participants of projects organized or supported by EIEU will be allowed to book facilities at EI Hub. To create a cozy environment for students to work and mingle with their teammates, EI Hub is a Discussion Zone and a designated library area which allows snacks and drinks consumption.
