Personal Data Anonymization in Library System

Please be informed that the Library will implement “Personal Data Anonymization” in library system on 1 July 2021 for better protection of personal data, after which only loan history in the last 12 months can be accessed in the library system. Borrowing records older than 12 months will be anonymized and delinked from borrowers’ personal records in the library system. All anonymized and delinked borrowing records are inaccessible and unrecoverable. If you wish to maintain your complete loan history, please export your borrowing records from the library system by yourself before 1 July 2021 and thereafter on a regular basis. Please refer to the following user guide on “How to export your loan history” for further details on exporting your borrowing records from the library system.
