| 书籍可以再借用时间更久一些就好了 | For most EdUHK staff and students, they can already keep a book with a loan period of 30 days or more for an unlimited period as long as they maintain their EdUHK status and nobody else request for this particular book. | I think the borrowing period for the books is too short it should be extended to 1 month. | Certain items such as books in Reserve Collection are deliberately set to 7-day and non-renewable in order to enable more students to gain access to the course readings. For 14-day loan books such as the Hong Kong School Textbook Collection, they will be automatically renewed if nobody else makes a request on it, allowing the borrower to keep it for a maximum of 56 days. Administrative colleagues can use most of the Library facilities when they are not booked. If administrative colleagues have special needs for facilities, they are advised to contact their departments or other relevant units such as EO or OCIO. |
| For recalling, it would be better to let people know a bit in advance. | The Recall System is in place to speed up the circulation of seasonally high demand items, and is a common practice in local university libraries. When a book is recalled and loan period shortened, users will still have at least 10 days to use it before returning. |

Therefore it should be returned by the due date. Please contact us directly and provide additional details. We can further discuss and see if we can acquire an online copy of the book, buy more physical copies, put the title as course reserve or some other ways to help. |

| 希望MMW library 入面嘅書都可以reserve 係24小時自取架到 | Comments noted. Reservation service is only provided for items on loan and not on shelf. To ensure fairness of access by all users and to avoid unnecessary idling of resources on waiting shelves, all items on shelf are available for borrowing on a first-come-first-served basis. |
