I hope the library can buy Claude. I think scite is not useful for the students major in education. While both Scite and Claude are AI tools, they serve distinct purposes. Scite exclusively utilizes data from credible academic sources and is widely adopted in many UGC-funded institutions across Hong Kong. It is specifically designed to aid researchers and students for their academic research by swiftly identifying the most relevant research literature, accompanied by a concise analysis of how these sources support or contradict specific research propositions.

In contrast, Claude is a large language model (LLM) that excels in generating text, answering questions, and assisting with creative or general knowledge tasks. As a versatile conversational AI, it operates similarly to ChatGPT and Deepseek, both of which are already accessible to EdUHK staff and students through the OCIO at EdUHK ChatGPT (https://www.eduhk.hk/ocio/eduhk-chatgpt).

PsycINFO stopped displaying the Cited By statistics, which made me have to do a lot of revision on my standard ppts/instructions to psychology students about how to find relevant literature. I'm now advising them to use Semantic Scholar instead.

It would be very nice if the library produced unique how to find references for different disciplines, updated each year, so that individual staff members don't need to do it / could simply ask the students to look at the library website for advice
We have worked with the vendor and the times-cited feature has been restored in PsycINFO.

Very disappointed as there are limited resources online. I have multiple times that I cannot search the ebooks which are course textbooks. I am not able to access them even I could found them in search results because of the limitation from the websites and I was frustrated with them. Could New York Times please be added to the e-newspapers collection? We have started subscription of New York Times  (https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/databases/nyt) in mid March 2025 and made it available under iSearch, the e-newspaper and Database Library web pages. In addition, two more newspapers , Chronicle of Higher Education (https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/databases/chronicle-higher-education) and Times Higher Education (https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/databases/times-higher-education), are also available online.
舊報紙明明夠位打平放,但摺埋哂,要拎黎睇好唔方便。Locating a specific issue within a towering stack of 30 newspapers can be a daunting task. Folding the newspapers and organizing them into multiple columns with dates marked at the corner will better serve the needs of most users, making it easier to find the desired issue quickly and efficiently.
Good. Need to enhance library facilities like could be publish articles in open access journal and these policies should be considered As at May 2025, Library has signed Transformative Agreements with 9 publishers (Association for Computing Machinery, Cambridge University Press, De Gruyter, Elsevier, IEEE, John Benjamins, Oxford University Press, Springer Nature and Wiley) providing open access publishing opportunities for EdUHK researchers. Please check https://libguides.eduhk.hk/openaccess and https://libguides.eduhk.hk/TransformativeAgreement for further information or contact us directly for assistance if needed.

As a professoriate staff, I research about publication performance. For this, I have been using Scival and Incites a lot. However, I have no access to them anymore. I learned that EDUHK is already subscribed to Scival. Can that be made accessible to research staff as well? I am a bit worried about my future publications.SciVal subscription and access is managed by the VP(RD)’s Office. Office of Institutional Data and Research(OIDR) has been developing and planning to launch a dashboard in summer this year for EdUHK staff to review their metrics from SciVal and Scopus.
