Too many guests visiting the library during the daytime. They made much noise in the quiet zones like on the 2/F. Some repairment work also affects the quality.Comments noted and we shall remind the visitors and workers to minimize the disturbance to Library users.
自然科學書Comments noted and will be further reviewed. EdUHK colleagues and students are welcome to submit recommendations of specific titles at https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/recommend/
如果兒童書籍的書架的類別統一一些,如幼兒和小學分開,令易找程度高些會更好。Comments noted.

We do not recommend introducing too many separated collections which may in fact cause more confusions and difficulties in locating materials.

Please approach our counters for assistance if needed. Users may also use our "EdU LibMap" app which will display approximate locations of individual items on their mobile phones.
Is eating/drinking allowed in certain areas? Could the library be accessed by the public without the library card just like other libraries in other countries? Or the public may register (pay an annual fee) to visit the library. Some sort of book recommendation (monthly) by the users with a short description may be arranged and people could vote for their favourite. Book illustration exhibition in collaboration with authors may be arranged. Invitation of users/visitors on weekends to library visits (the room on top floor with seaviews) may be arranged.Drinks are allowed in all areas of the Library but only specific types of food items are allowed inside the Lounge and EI Hub. Please refer to the Food and Drink Policy https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/about/policies-regulations/food-and-drink-policy for more details.

Same as all other university libraries in Hong Kong, EdUHK Library primarily serves our students and staff and hence is not open to the public. However, we do offer library membership scheme to suport local school community, school teachers and other education professionals. Please refer to Library Regulation 3.5 for external membership matters at https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/about/policies-regulations/regulations#3
I am very surprised lots of students eating foods and speaking loudly inside library. It is not u level lib. The worst library of 8 u libraries.Food and drinks are actually allowed in many university libraries in Hong Kong and overseas nowadays. Similar practices are well received by students and staff in different universities. Since July 2023, in response to users' expectation, drinks are allowed in all areas of the Library but only specific types of food items are allowed inside the Lounge and EI Hub. Please refer to the Food and Drink Policy https://www.lib.eduhk.hk/about/policies-regulations/food-and-drink-policy. or contact the counters for assistance if needed.
